Establishment
The Foundation was established in 1928 by Dannie and Hettie Heineman, functioning until 1933, when its activities were suspended. In 1951, the Foundation was re-established, and from 1987 to the present its activities have been administrated through the Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft (Donors’ Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities) in Germany.Details
